Her Ministry focus is to see the Lost Saved, Set Free and Filled and to Challenge the church to live for Christ and reach the lost!
Born in Houston, Texas it was evident from the start that God had given her the Gift of communication, not only in Word but also in Song. Brenda started singing in church when she was 3 years old, and she accepted the Call to Preach when she was 30 years old.
Since that time Brenda has made her home on the road as she travels around the world Preaching and Singing at Churches, Camp Meetings, Conventions and Retreats.
Brenda has 15 Southern Gospel Music Albums to her credit. She has been Honored with several Southern Gospel Music Awards, including Soloist of the Year, Female Vocalist of the Year and many others.
Brenda was a "Miss America Preliminary" Contestant in her teens, but soon realized that a Crown on her Heart was what she needed and not one on her head.
Brenda is very transparent and some times share how after straying away from church and living a life of drugs, alcohol, and spousal abuse she finally found peace in Christ.
She was diagnosed with a very aggressive form of Breast Cancer at the age of 29. How ever she received a Miraculous Healing, with out undergoing, surgery, radiation or chemo, and lives a Victorious cancer free life today. Brenda married her high school sweetheart Bishop Kelvin Copeland in March of 1979. They Pastor in the Church of God (Cleveland Tennessee). They have a daughter Kristen and are grandparents to Christian, Owen, & Charlie.
